BAT™

Complete Medical Australasia - BAT, Breast, Axilla and Thyroid Coverage - Top Image

The BAT™ – Breast, Axilla and Thyroid Coverage – is designed to reduce the risk of breast cancer and other radiation-associated cancers in healthcare professionals. It seamlessly integrates with existing gear and offers superior universal shielding for potential gap areas and sleeves. This versatile accessory can be worn over or under a current radiation protection apron, enhancing safety and providing added assurance, especially for community aprons in hospital settings.

The Perfect Complement to Your Standard Radiation Protection Aprons

The BAT™ can be used by anyone who needs to be shielded from X-rays in the workplace. It should be worn over or under an existing apron for additional protection.

The BAT™ is the only piece you need in addition to your lead apron, replacing the conventional thyroid shield.

The only way to provide comprehensive protection to the breast and axilla is by extending the shielding partially down the arm and providing a barrier underneath the arm.

The BAT™ is available in male and female cut and a variety of sizes, all of which can be further adjusted with velcro straps in the chest and around the arms.

The BAT™ is made with Xenolite 800 NLE Lead-Free attenuation material with .35mm (Breast, Axilla, and Chest) and .5mm (Thyroid).

The BAT™ is lightweight and contains a large area of mesh, which allows arm movement and cooling airflow. You can choose to wear the BAT over or under your standard apron.

The BAT™ is used in various hospitals, operating rooms, fluoroscopy suites, imaging centers, dental offices, and veterinary clinics.
